Service Manager

Copeland Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Service Manager with a proven track record of success to join our team. Located just off busy Route 24, our state-of-the-art Chevrolet facility is looking for a strong leader who can take our service operation to the next level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department, including but not limited to:

• Answering technical questions regarding vehicle concerns, warranties, maintenance, and repairs
• Maintaining customer satisfaction scores at or above company standards
• Assisting with vehicle diagnostics as needed
• Ordering parts, equipment, and tools when necessary
• Managing warranty administration and claim processing
• Recruiting, training, coaching, and supervising service department employees
• Working with upper management on hiring, scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary matters
• Enforcing company policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and manufacturer requirements
• Maintaining strong working relationships with General Motors representatives and vendors
• Fostering positive employee relations and a productive team environment

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of automotive retail service management experience
• General Motors dealership experience preferred
• Reynolds & Reynolds DMS experience preferred
• ASE Certification (C1) preferred but not required
• High-volume service department experience preferred
• Proven track record of achieving CSI and customer satisfaction goals
• Strong leadership skills and professional work ethic
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to successfully complete a motor vehicle record check, background check, and pre-employment drug screening
