Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to serve as a strategic technical advisor across the full customer lifecycle. This role takes a holistic view of a client's overall technology environment — enterprise infrastructure, public cloud, digital workspace, security, and business applications — and translates business strategy, risk, and compliance drivers into current‑state assessments, target‑state architectures, and actionable transformation roadmaps aligned to ivision's services portfolio and our ASSESS → ARCHITECT → TRANSFORM → OPERATE delivery lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable whiteboarding enterprise architectures with executives, facilitating strategy and roadmap workshops, and engaging credibly with engineering teams across infrastructure domains. A strong background in security architecture and/or network architecture is highly beneficial — the ability to evaluate an environment through a security and connectivity lens is a key differentiator for this role.

You will produce client‑ready deliverables (environment assessments, reference architectures, multi‑year roadmaps, business cases, Statements of Work) and present findings and recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Pre-Sales / Solution Consulting - ~70% - Discovery, requirements, scoping, solution architectures, LOE estimates, proposal & RFP support, demos/workshops.

Enterprise Architecture & Advisory - ~30% - Current-state assessments, target-state architectures, transformation roadmaps, architecture governance, executive advisory, design assurance during delivery.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Enterprise Architecture & Advisory (~30%)

• Lead current‑state assessments of clients' overall infrastructure environments — network, data center, compute and virtualization, public and hybrid cloud, endpoints and digital workspace, identity, security, and data protection.
• Develop target‑state architectures and phased, multi‑year transformation roadmaps aligned to business strategy, technology maturity, budget, and compliance requirements.
• Map assessment findings and recommendations to the full breadth of ivision's services portfolio — enterprise infrastructure, public cloud, digital workspace, security, and business applications — identifying the right delivery motion (consulting, managed services, or product lifecycle) for each initiative.
• Facilitate strategy and roadmap workshops (cloud strategy, data center exit, network transformation, Zero Trust, identity modernization, technology debt and lifecycle planning).
• Build and maintain reference architectures, architecture standards, and decision frameworks that are reusable across client engagements.
• Provide architecture governance and design assurance as engagements move from architecture into delivery, keeping implementation aligned to the approved target state.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, translating technical findings into risk, cost, and business language.

2. Pre-Sales / Client Engagement (~70%)

• Participate in discovery calls with prospects across all customer segments (mid‑market, enterprise, regulated industries, etc.).
• Translate business, risk, and compliance drivers into technical solution designs that span the ivision portfolio rather than a single technology domain.
• Draft high‑level architectures, scoping estimates, and assumptions for proposals & SOWs.
• Support RFP / RFQ responses with technical content, architectural approach, and differentiators.
• Provide sales engineering support in partnership with Account Executives, articulating value, ROI, and integration paths across customer tool stacks.
• Identify expansion and cross‑portfolio opportunities surfaced through assessments and architecture engagements, and feed them back to the account team.

3. Executive Communication & Workshops

• Lead or co‑lead executive / board‑level briefings, translating technical findings into risk and business language.
• Facilitate strategy and envisioning workshops with CIO / CTO / CISO stakeholders and their teams.
• Present outcomes, options, and next steps in clear, concise, business‑aligned formats.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive experience in infrastructure, cloud, or security roles, including 3+ years in an enterprise architecture, principal consulting, or solutions architecture capacity.
• Demonstrated experience assessing complex, multi‑domain technology environments and producing target‑state architectures and transformation roadmaps.
• Broad, cross‑domain technical fluency spanning networking, compute and virtualization, storage and data protection, public cloud (Azure and/or AWS), identity, endpoint / digital workspace, and security.
• Experience developing architectures and roadmaps aligned to recognized frameworks (e.g., TOGAF or similar EA methods; NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or Zero Trust for security alignment) — and the judgment to right‑size formality for mid‑market and enterprise clients.
• Experience working directly with sales teams: discovery, sizing, solution shaping, technical proposal input, and customer Q&A.
• Proven success delivering customer‑facing documentation and presenting to executive audiences (CIO, CTO, CISO, boards, non‑technical leadership).
• Strong written communication: assessments, architecture documents, statements of work, executive summaries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in security architecture is highly beneficial: Zero Trust design, Microsoft security ecosystem (Entra ID, Sentinel, Defender), EDR/XDR, MDR service integration, SASE/SSE (e.g., Zscaler), and vulnerability management.
• Background in network architecture is highly beneficial: enterprise and campus networking, SD‑WAN, data center networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, and network security.
• Hands‑on history with the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Entra ID, M365) and hybrid platforms (VMware, Nutanix); experience with data center migrations and multi‑cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with managed services operating models and how architecture decisions affect ongoing operations, observability, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to map platform and architecture controls to NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 compliance requirements.
• Four-year university degree or college diploma in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Industry‑recognized certifications preferred (e.g., TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CCNP/CCDE, CISSP).
