Job Summary The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) possesses the knowledge and skills required by the Texas Nursing Practice Act and HCHD Nursing Service. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to their clinical area, recognizing when assistance is needed and seeking appropriate resources. Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred); Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited nursing school. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Texas; Basic Life Support certification from AHA or Red Cross; any other unit/service-specific certificates required. Work Experience: One year of full-time RN experience or completion of a Graduate Nursing Program. Language Skills: Bilingual skills preferred. Communication Skills: Above-average verbal (heavy public contact); exceptional verbal (public speaking); writing/composing (correspondence reports). Proficiencies: PC.
