Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Step-Down Unit
Contract 13 Weeks Multiple Openings

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Step-Down Unit assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for patients requiring step-down or critical care-level monitoring and treatment.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to patients meeting Medical Step-Down level of care.
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Critical Care or Step-Down experience .
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license .
Current BLS (AHA) certification.
Current ACLS (AHA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

BSN degree or professional certification recognized by the Magnet Association.
2+ years of Critical Care or Step-Down experience.

Assignment Details

Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 08/31/2026
Shifts Available:
- Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Holiday and weekend rotation required.
No call required.
Overtime paid at regular all-inclusive rate.
EMR: EPIC
Open Positions: 15

Certifications Required

ACLS
BLS/BCLS

Additional Requirements

Active state RN license required prior to start.
Holiday coverage required.
