Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, handling accounts payable and receivable.
- Process journal entries accurately and promptly for precise financial reporting.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and various accounts meticulously.
- Collaborate across teams to analyze financial data, offering valuable insights for decisions.
- Support the creation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
- Aid in audits, tax filings, and compliance matters.
- Contribute to enhancing accounting procedures through process improvements.
Staff Accountant Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Showcase proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar capacity.
- Demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, and Microsoft Excel.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- CPA certification or progress towards it is advantageous.
