DanDale Fence is seeking a driven, competitive, and professional Outside Sales Representative to meet with homeowners, understand their fencing needs, and close sales using our proven in-home, one-call-close sales process.

This is a performance-driven sales position for someone who enjoys talking with people, thrives in a competitive environment, and is motivated by the opportunity to earn more based on results.

Sales Representatives are provided with 1–3 qualified appointments per day and travel directly to customers’ homes throughout their assigned territory. Representatives conduct an in-home consultation, evaluate the project, present appropriate fencing solutions, prepare pricing, overcome objections, and ask for the sale during the initial appointment.

DanDale provides paid training, established sales processes, marketing support, pricing resources, and qualified leads. The Sales Representative’s responsibility is to execute the process consistently and close business.

Compensation: $150,000–$250,000 per year, based on performance.

This is a 1099 position

Responsibilities

• Meet with 1–3 qualified customers per day at their homes within the assigned territory.
• Conduct professional in-home sales presentations using DanDale’s established sales process.
• Build rapport quickly and establish trust with homeowners.
• Identify the customer’s fencing needs, priorities, concerns, timeline, and budget.
• Evaluate the property and gather the information necessary to accurately estimate the project.
• Educate customers on fencing options, materials, installation, warranties, and the DanDale process.
• Prepare and present accurate project pricing and proposals.
• Confidently ask for the sale and work toward closing the project during the initial appointment.
• Address objections regarding price, timing, competition, financing, and other customer concerns.
• Maintain a minimum 35% close rate on assigned leads.
• Follow company pricing, discounting, financing, and sales policies.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information within company systems.
• Confirm appointments and communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after the sales appointment.
• Maintain consistent communication with internal Sales, Production, and administrative teams when necessary.
• Participate in sales training, coaching, meetings, and performance reviews.
• Continuously improve presentation skills, product knowledge, objection handling, and closing techniques.
• Represent DanDale Fence professionally in appearance, communication, and conduct.
• Manage an assigned territory responsibly and efficiently.
• Maintain reliable transportation and the ability to travel to customer appointments throughout the territory.

Requirements

• Must be a closer and comfortable asking customers to make a purchasing decision.
• Ability and willingness to operate within a one-call-close sales environment.
• 2+ years of in-home, one-call-close sales experience preferred, although paid training is provided.
• Demonstrated sales ability and a strong desire to achieve performance-based goals.
• Competitive, self-motivated, and financially driven.
• Comfortable working in a commission/performance -driven environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of homeowners.
• Strong listening skills and ability to identify the customer’s underlying needs and buying motivations.
• Ability to build rapport and establish credibility quickly.
• Comfortable discussing pricing, handling objections, negotiating appropriately, and asking directly for the sale.
• Process-driven and willing to consistently follow DanDale’s established sales system.
• Coachable and receptive to feedback, training, and performance accountability.
• Organized and capable of managing multiple appointments, customers, proposals, and follow-ups.
• Ability to work independently in the field without constant supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned sales territory.
• Strong technology proficiency with the ability to quickly learn and confidently navigate CRM platforms, estimating software, scheduling systems, and other digital sales tools used throughout the sales process.
• Ability to accurately enter, update, and manage customer information, appointments, estimates, contracts, notes, and sales activity within company systems.
• Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, and/or laptop in the field to manage the sales process from appointment through signed contract.
• Must be able to maintain the company’s required 35% or greater closing rate.
