Processing Technician - Meat Cutter

Southside Processing is currently looking for a full time Processing Technician - Meat Cutter.

This position is eligible for full time benefits that will include health, dental, vision and vacation and sick leave.

Primary Functions:

• Raw Material Preparation
• Cut and trim protein to set specifications.
• Weigh proteins using scale system accurately.
• Package fresh product for orders.
• Sanitation of all equipment and areas used in job position

Skills and Experience Required:

• Willingness to work and capacity to learn.
• Prior plant or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience working in a USDA facility preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications:

• Related work experience.
• Strong skills in working with people.
• Cooperative, strong work ethic, positive attitude, professional demeanor.
• Ability to discern problems and devise solutions.
• Present a professional bearing and appearance.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot and/or cold temperatures.
