Cash and Trade Processing Manager

Summary This position is on‑site in the Public Sector Lockbox business, a 24/7 operational unit that provides mail center operations (mailroom, batching, scanning, dispatch, and data entry) to government clients located in Newark, DE. The Cash & Trade Proc Mgr. is an intermediate level resident role responsible for ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time. The role manages a Cash and Trade Operations team of Citi permanent and contractor staff, applies in‑depth knowledge to deliver solutions, and ensures deliverables are completed efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities Lead a team of 10-15 entry‑level staff to process the workflow and meet client service level agreements. Review service quality, production systems, and client reporting within cash and trade operations. Analyze complex issues to resolve them and ensure team deliverables meet performance and quality expectations. Recommend quality reviews of cash management services, production systems, and client reporting. Manage performance, identify training needs, and recommend pay increases, promotions, terminations, and hiring decisions. Contribute to planning, budget management, and formulation of procedures. Serve as backup to the Cash and Trade Operations Senior Manager. Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, safeguarding Citigroup’s reputation and assets. Motivate staff to perform against standards and provide coaching and mentoring. Conduct 1:1 meetings with teams (monthly) and temps (weekly for first 60 days). Ensure temp talent is trained in ITS and the POD model, reporting monthly to the agency manager. Manage attendance and dress code compliance, and make floor announcements as needed. Align staffing resources effectively across shifts, keep up with escalations, and respond to follow‑up questions. Serve as backup for Operations Coordinators and support business functions when low staffed. Monitor batching volumes, perform daily cash responsibilities, and review audit controls and documents. Collaborate with on‑site MNX team for pickups and delivery, escort non‑access visitors, and assist with evacuation support, fire drills, and severe weather procedures. Cover peers and OCs during lunch/breaks. Qualifications 5-8 years of experience in a cash and trade operations management role. Proven experience creating and implementing processes that improve business performance. Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills. Demonstrated history of strong interpersonal skills and positive peer engagement in a diverse environment. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in lockbox operations. BS/BA or equivalent work experience. Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to respond under pressure and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Schedule flexibility, including weekends and holidays. Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency. Effective written and verbal communication across diverse audiences and levels. Leadership ability in a fast‑paced, changing environment. Quick grasp of operational processes and understanding of training. Strong influence management skills. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card) required. Must pass an extensive background check (renewed every 5 years). Education Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
