Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Neuro ICU setting, managing a population that includes stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Perform thorough neurological assessments and monitor patients using EVDs and ICP monitoring equipment
• Assist with and perform basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Support bolt and drain bedside placements in collaboration with the neurosurgery team
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA or ARC
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU setting with strong neurological assessment skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing assignment
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist
• Familiarity with EVD management and ICP monitoring protocols
