Position Information Classification Title: Res Assc-Social Science I FLSA: Exempt FTE: 1.00 Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field of science Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in the social sciences. Two years experience in a project/research coordination position. Position Summary: This position serves as the Research Project Coordinator for a statewide school behavioral health workforce development initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of Georgia schools to recognize, respond to, and support students experiencing behavioral health concerns. Working in partnership with external partners, the Research Project Coordinator manages project implementation, including statewide training logistics, stakeholder engagement, implementation support, and continuous quality improvement. The position coordinates project communication, monitors implementation fidelity and project milestones, supports qualitative and quantitative evaluation activities, analyzes implementation and outcome data, and prepares reports to document project impact and inform ongoing program improvement. This position is grant funded and expected to end one year after the hire date of the employee. The position may be extended beyond the initial term, contingent upon continued funding. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Excellent organizational, project management, and research coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and data collection activities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience collaborating with researchers, schools, state agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support research, evaluation, and implementation initiatives. Demonstrated ability to design and implement qualitative and quantitative research or program evaluation activities, including developing data collection tools, managing datasets, analyzing findings, and preparing technical reports or scholarly products. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, solve complex problems proactively, and support high-quality research, evaluation, training, and technical assistance activities in a collaborative, statewide environment. Duties/Responsibilities Project Coordination and Implementation: Coordinate day-to-day implementation of statewide behavioral health workforce development and evaluation projects, including communication with project partners, participating organizations, school districts, and state agencies. Monitor project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and implementation activities to ensure successful project completion. Coordinate project meetings, maintain project documentation, and prepare progress updates for project leadership and funding agencies. Facilitate coordination among multidisciplinary project teams and external partners to ensure consistent implementation across project sites. Percentage of time: 40 Research, Evaluation, and Data Collection: Implement qualitative and quantitative research and program evaluation activities, including needs assessments, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other data collection efforts. Clean, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate research methods, including management of large datasets when applicable. Conduct literature reviews and synthesize evidence to inform project implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. Prepare research reports, evaluation summaries, technical reports, presentations, and scientific manuscripts to disseminate project findings. Percentage of time: 30 Stakeholder Engagement, Training, and Quality Improvement: Coordinate communication among stakeholders to support project implementation, training, technical assistance, and timely completion of project activities. Monitor implementation fidelity and evaluation outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement. Respond to stakeholder inquiries and support dissemination of project resources, training materials, and implementation guidance. Percentage of time: 20 Strategic and Administrative Support: Assist the Principal Investigator with project planning, funding proposals, and strategic initiatives that build upon project outcomes. Support long-term sustainability through dissemination activities, partnership development, and planning for future research and workforce development initiatives.
