Job Details Location: Metairie, LA 70002 Category: Health Care Role and Responsibilities Patient Care Taking and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration) and relaying information to MD. Assisting with medical procedures, examinations, and other procedures. Assessing patient condition, observing for changes, and reporting concerns to the physician. Providing patient education: explaining treatments, self‑care instructions, and infection precautions. Providing wound care. Assisting patients in and out of clinic PRN. Bringing patients to clinic rooms for their appointment. Documentation and Record Keeping Maintaining accurate patient records: medical histories, treatments, progress notes, prescriptions, patient education. Entering data into electronic health records (EHRs) ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Processing new patient paperwork and sending/receiving clearances. Managing patient pictures for before-and-after treatments. Preparing pre‑op patients: consent forms, instructions, vital signs, lab work, medication review for MD. Collaboration and Communication Collaborating with medical staff respectfully. Working with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate care. Communicating with patients and families: explaining procedures, answering questions, phone calls, and providing emotional support. Other Responsibilities Ordering and managing supplies to ensure clinic materials are available. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment meeting safety and hygiene standards. Drawing lab work in office. Transmitting prescriptions per MD guidance. Assisting Nurse Practitioner with injectables (botox, fillers), taking pictures prior to treatments, applying topical numbing. Keeping clinic rooms fully stocked throughout the week. Other duties as assigned. Travel required to Metairie, West Bank, and Slidell locations. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science.
