We demonstrate this by providing state-of-the-art technology; an expert team of pathologists and technicians; comprehensive services; fast and reliable results; a patient-centered approach; and commitment to continuous improvement.**Description:*** Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by the laboratory* Assesses job functions and takes appropriate action when problems are detected.* Identifies problems with specimens, test orders, registration and takes appropriate action* Identifies patients and specimens correctly from beginning of process to release of results.* Accessions specimens into the Laboratory Information System, accurately recording pertinent data to be used by the physician in the interpretation of tests results* Collects blood samples by appropriate method on premature babies to geriatric patients utilizing prescribed safety and infection control procedures to protect the patient and the phlebotomist* Investigates, documents and follows up on customers concerns, inquiries and provides prompt, polite customer service**Requirements:*** High School Diploma or equivalent.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
