EVS TECHNICIAN – HOSPITAL CLEANING THAT MATTERS

$18.50/hr | Multiple Shifts

This is not basic housekeeping. This is front‑line support inside a hospital , where your work directly impacts patient safety, recovery, and confidence in their care.

St. David’s Healthcare is hiring an experienced EVS Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional hospital environment. If you bring hustle, attention to detail, and pride in your work, this role delivers stability, purpose, and real career momentum.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be responsible for deep cleaning and preparing patient rooms to hospital standards.

• Perform detailed cleaning of non‑occupied patient rooms (20–30 minutes per room)

• Strip beds, flip mattresses, remake beds with fresh linens

• Thoroughly disinfect all surfaces and high‑touch areas

• Clean isolation rooms while strictly following safety and infection‑control protocols

• Lift and move large linen bags and place them down designated chutes

• Interact professionally with patients, nurses, doctors, and hospital staff

SHIFT OPTIONS

Choose the shift that fits your life:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

PAY & JOB DETAILS

• $18.50 per hour

• Contract‑to‑Hire (strong opportunity to go permanent)

• Full‑time, on‑site hospital role

WHAT IT TAKES

This role is not for anyone looking to coast.

• Minimum 6 months hospital or hotel housekeeping experience

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Able to stay on your feet for 8+ hours per shift

• Comfortable working independently once trained

• Team‑oriented mindset with a “no job too small” attitude

• Able to lift heavy linen bags safely

• Must be willing to undergo drug screen, background check, and medical screenings

• Professional appearance required (no facial piercings, tattoos covered, no heavy fragrances)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
