Description of Responsibilities - Conduct various ultrasound exams, encompassing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, thoughtfully explaining every phase of the process
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to generate high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on imaging equipment, promptly addressing any technical issues
- Document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records within the electronic health system
- Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices
Education Requirements - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is favored
Certifications Required - Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
