RN ICU Float Pool

Job Summary Location: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central – Colorado Springs. Department: Staffing Office / Float Pool. Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Day and Night Rotation or Nights. Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, dependent on experience. This is an onsite role with no hybrid or remote option. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Six months of ICU nursing experience (RN) or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program. ACL/BLS and BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with a card in hand before the start date. BLS or CPR card must be valid for 60 days after hire. Responsibilities Provides top-scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice. Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth. Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care. ICU Responsibilities Direct care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a technically complex environment. Uses the AACN’s Synergy Model and various specialty certification standards in evidence‑based care models for the ICU. Clinical educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
