About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, previous charge experience required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and ACLS certifications required Description: This is a Labor and Delivery night shift position. The nurse will be required to manage patient care for laboring women. The role involves administering medications and therapies as needed. Experience with high-risk deliveries is essential. The nurse will assist in various procedures, including vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections. Knowledge of fetal heart monitoring and interpretation is necessary. Support for breastfeeding and lactation will be part of the responsibilities. The nurse will ensure proper care in the antepartum and postpartum periods. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be expected. It is essential to maintain standards of care and safety protocols. The position includes a patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse. Weekend shifts will be required as part of the schedule.
