You will provide patient care support at the practice and be responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients to ensure that the quality of the studies adhere to established standards. You are passionate about being part of a world-class team, delivering the most leading/cutting edge cardiac care to our patients. We offer per diem, part time, or full time roles. This per diem position has 1-2 shifts per week. The full time position will be 40 hours per week. You will report directly to the supervising provider or his/her designee.What You'll Do:Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasoundsPerform cardiac pulse and continuous wave ultrasound doppler to identify and characterize intracardiac blood flow patternsPerform transesophageal cardiac ultrasoundPerform stress echocardiographyKnowledge of the equipment, standard tests and procedures, and typical readings including arrhythmias and abnormalitiesKnowledge of typical patient reactions and signs of distress including the ability to recognize, report and treat potentially lethal arrhythmiasKnowledge of common equipment settings and standardized procedures plus knowledge of common errors and corrective measuresModify procedures/positions to obtain the correct results with patients with complicating conditionsWhat You'll Need:Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) -or- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required2 years of working experience as an Echo TechBLS/ACLS Certification requiredPreference to those who have both Echo and Vascular experienceStrong interpersonal skills to put patients at ease and explain things in easily understandable termsExceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and physiciansAttention to detail to notice abnormalities in sonogramsHand-eye coordination to adjust the movement of the ultrasound transducer based on the images seen on the screenTechnical and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex diagnostic equipmentAbility to work well under pressure, sometimes in emergency situations, to get a fast diagnosisStrong teamwork to interact with the medical teamMedical knowledge, including a strong understanding of anatomy, to create proper imagesExcellent customer service skills are requiredAbility to work both independently and in a teamWork Location: You will work out of the Londonderry, New Hampshire office.Additional Information: For full time roles, we offer competitive wages commensurate with experience ($55 to $70 an hour with additional incentives available) plus medical, dental, and vision benefits along with a matching 401K.
