Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical - Neuro Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: Permanent License Required Certifications: BLS Required ACLS Preferred NIHSS Required Must-Have: Surgical experience including urology, trauma, orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, and other surgical diagnoses. Previous Charge Experience Required. Patient Ratio Experience: 5-6. Charting System Experience with Epic Required. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a neuro-medical setting. Candidates must have a background in surgical nursing. Experience in managing high-acuity patients is essential. The RN will be responsible for administering medications and treatments as ordered. Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and central line management are necessary. Prior experience with telemetry monitoring and wound care is preferred. Knowledge of dysrhythmias and their management is important. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Flexibility to work weekends and provide coverage as needed is required. The candidate should possess strong critical thinking and assessment skills. Experience with neuro surgeries is a plus. Clients may include adults and geriatric patients with various medical diagnoses.
