Orchid is seeking a highly organized, clinical genetic counselor to join our growing team and help to expand our clinical services. In this role, you will provide pre and post-test genetic counseling for whole genome sequencing pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT-WGS). RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Provide telehealth pre-test genetic counseling for whole genome sequencing pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT-WGS) Guide patients through the genetic testing process, explain the benefits and limitations, and interpret test results. Provide clear explanations of complex genetic information to patients, discussing potential results and providing emotional support during potentially difficult conversations to aid in decision making. Prepare clinical documentation and communicate the next steps with Orchid Genetic Counseling Team, patient, and IVF center. Assist in case management, including gathering of relevant documentation, variant interpretation and report sign out. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree from an accredited genetic counseling program. Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or equivalent Master's degree in genetic counseling. Minimum 1 year clinical experience, preferably in IVF/PGT specialty or prenatal. Experience in counseling on whole genome or whole exome sequencing (preferred). CA (required) UT, TN, LA, SC, MD, IN, GA, OK (preferred) Grit, resilience, and a humble, team-first mindset. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
