Dubois Continuum of Care Community is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable-Medicaid Specialist to join our finance team in DuBois, Pennsylvania. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing our accounts receivable and Medicaid applications and renewals to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. About the Role:

you will be responsible for:

· Assisting residents with Medicaid applications, Renewals and related documentation

· Must be confident in speaking to residents and families regarding financial situations. Some conversations may involve sensitive topics. Ability to be firm yet compassionate is a must.

· . Management of resident private pay and resident liability accounts including billing, collections, and resolving billing discrepancies. Collaborating with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless coordination of services

· Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors

· Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers

Responsibilities:

· Process and track Medicaid applications, renewals, and related documentation in a timely and accurate manner

· Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies and denials, and negotiate with payers when necessary

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts receivable and Medicaid claims

· Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless coordination of services and billing

· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors

· Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers

Requirements:

· 1 year of experience or more in accounts receivable, Medicaid applications, renewals, or a related field (preferred)

· High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business) preferred

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records systems (EHRs)
