Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and endovascular procedures in a cath lab setting. Support physicians and healthcare teams with patient preparation, education, and post-procedure care to ensure optimal outcomes. Must be able to respond effectively to emergency situations with critical care expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and allied staff during cardiac and endovascular procedures.
• Prepare patients through education, assessment, and supporting emotional needs prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and recognize critical changes during interventions.
• Respond to medical emergencies swiftly and effectively, utilizing critical care skills.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document clinical interventions and patient responses accurately.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ RN license required.
• Possess 1-3 years of critical care or cath lab experience.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation.
• Prefer previous cath lab experience and CCRN or RCIS credentials.
• Show excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
