Senior C++ Software Engineer

We're partnering with an innovative engineering organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design and develop software solutions for advanced automation and packaging systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software development, machine automation, and cutting-edge manufacturing technology.
What You'll Do- Collaborate with stakeholders to review, define, and refine requirements for new and existing software features.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using C++ and object-oriented programming principles .
- Implement, test, and validate software solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support equipment demonstrations, qualifications, and customer buyoffs both in-house and at international customer locations.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
- Contribute ideas and best practices to improve software architecture, performance, and maintainability.
- Strong experience developing software in C++ .
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) methodologies.
- Experience with multithreaded application development and software design patterns.
- Proficiency with STL , COM/DCOM , and BOOST (or similar template libraries) is highly preferred.
- Experience with Python and Tcl/Tk is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, and optimize complex software systems.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proactive, \"can-do\" approach to problem solving.
- Passion for learning new technologies and collaborating with technical teams.
- Experience supporting industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, robotics, or machine control systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- English proficiency required; German language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to support international customer engagements and travel as needed.
- Work on complex, highly engineered automation solutions.
- Exposure to advanced packaging and manufacturing technologies.
- Collaborate with a global team and international customers.
