Material Handler

This role focuses on safely and efficiently handling materials using a forklift and related equipment in both indoor and outdoor areas. You will move raw materials to various production departments, use RF scanners to track inventory, and complete light data entry to ensure accurate documentation of material movement.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift daily to move raw materials between outdoor storage areas and indoor production departments, including kitting, paintline, and fabrication.
• Navigate and operate forklifts safely in tight and confined spaces while maintaining a high level of precision and awareness.
• Use RF scanners daily to scan, track, and record the movement of materials and inventory throughout the facility.
• Perform light information logging and data entry on computers to document material transfers, inventory counts, and related activities.
• Handle and stage materials in an organized manner to support efficient workflow across multiple departments.
• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed to move and position materials safely.
• Follow established safety procedures and guidelines when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support a safe and organized work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and support production schedules.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience operating a forklift in a production, warehouse, or similar environment.
• Strong material handling skills, including moving, staging, and organizing raw materials.
• Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory tracking and material movement.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and accurately in tight or confined spaces.
• Basic computer skills to perform light information logging and data entry.
• Experience using pallet jacks and related material handling equipment.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of material movement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a clean and organized production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions while handling materials.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments such as kitting, paintline, and fabrication.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple material handling tasks efficiently.

This is a Contract position based out of Delano, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
