Legal Practice Assistant (Labor & Employment)
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Assistant to support attorneys within its Labor & Employment Practice Group . This role will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to a busy practice handling employment litigation, workplace disputes, counseling matters, and administrative agency proceedings.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong legal administrative skills, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, edit, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Support state and federal court filings, including filings before agencies such as the EEOC and PHRC
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Organize and maintain case files and litigation materials
- Coordinate document productions and discovery materials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense reporting
- Support trial, arbitration, and mediation preparation
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of legal assistant experience in a law firm environment
- Labor & Employment experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting litigation attorneys required
- Knowledge of court filing procedures and litigation processes
- Strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and organizational skills
Compensation: $75,000-$89,000
