Details Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma Center Primarily adult patient population 1:1 patient ratio Shift options include D/E rotator (7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p) or straight evenings Weekend call required in 8-hour blocks (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a) Up to 4 weeknight calls and 2 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule No floating required Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active MI RN license required in-hand at time of consideration (compact license not accepted) Current certifications: BLS and CAC Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required General OR and Trauma experience required Teaching hospital experience required Trauma Level I experience required Epic charting experience required 2 supervisory references required (charge nurse references not accepted) Required certifications must be obtained prior to start date Additional Information Provide perioperative nursing care across general OR, trauma, orthopedic, urology, plastics, bariatric, and robotic surgery cases Experience with robotic surgical systems (Da Vinci, Mako) and specialty equipment such as electrosurgical units and Hana Table is valuable Flu vaccination required starting 10/31/25 through end of Winter 2026 with no exemptions permitted; allergy-free option available for those with allergies First-time travelers are accepted Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate No RTO permitted during the first week of the contract Former permanent staff may return as travelers after 1 year, provided they left in good standing Candidates previously employed by the client facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Traveler pairs are not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-743750.
