Lead HVAC & Water Heater Installer

Fort Pierce, FL | Full-Time | Year-Round
$30–$36 per hour + Commission

We are hiring an experienced Lead HVAC & Water Heater Installer to join our team in Fort Pierce, FL. This role is responsible for leading residential HVAC and water heater installations from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship, proper system startup, code compliance, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete residential HVAC installations, replacements, and change-outs
• Install and connect HVAC equipment, refrigerant lines, electrical, condensate, thermostats, and ductwork
• Perform brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, refrigerant charging, and system startup/commissioning
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and equipment issues
• Lead and complete residential water heater installations and replacements
• Install and service electric, gas, tank, and tankless water heater systems
• Install and connect water piping, shutoff valves, temperature & pressure relief valves, expansion tanks, drain pans, and discharge piping
• Perform leak testing and troubleshoot water heater and plumbing-related issues
• Read and follow manufacturer specifications, mechanical drawings, and applicable plumbing/HVAC codes
• Lead, coach, and train helpers or installation crew members
• Properly stage materials and equipment and protect customers' homes during installation
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and management
• Complete required installation documentation and ensure all work meets company quality standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC, plumbing, or water heater installation experience preferred
• Proven residential HVAC installation experience
• Proven experience installing and replacing residential water heaters
• Experience with both HVAC and plumbing systems preferred
• Strong knowledge of split systems and heat pumps
• Experience with electric and gas water heaters; tankless experience preferred
• Experience with HVAC startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC installation practices and applicable codes
• Lead or crew experience preferred
• EPA 608 Universal certification preferred/required
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and lead a crew
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, confined spaces, and Florida heat
• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment, climb ladders, and perform the physical requirements of the job
