Front Office Manager

The Colonnade Hotel, a 4–diamond independently run property in Boston’s Back Bay, is seeking a Front Office Manager to lead its Front Office Team, including Guest Service Agents, Bell, and Door personnel. Responsibilities Support and coach the front desk staff. Complete shift check‑lists as specified. Handle guest check‑ins and check‑outs and address special requests in a friendly and professional manner. Run accurate room status reports and communicate necessary information to affected departments. Update daily group information and maintain future group files. Print cashier reports, verify balances, and perform bank deposits. Manage key control to maintain hotel security. Respond to guest questions and provide information about hotel layout, suites, meeting rooms, and outlet hours. Qualifications Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in the Front Office of a luxury hotel or similar. Must be able to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong knowledge of Opera system strongly preferred. Reliable, detail‑oriented, organized, and systematic thinker. Ability to lead and inspire a team. Ability to prioritize job functions to meet deadlines. Self‑starter with a great personality and strong interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods, move frequently, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
