Core Responsibilities
As a CDL-A driver, you will operate late-model Freightliner trucks (3 years or newer) on over-the-road (OTR) routes, primarily handling refrigerated freight throughout Nebraska and surrounding territories. You will be responsible for safe, timely delivery of cargo while maintaining strict adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols. Your typical schedule involves 2 to 3 weeks on the road followed by 2 to 3 days at home, providing predictable home time every 2 weeks.
You will manage no-touch freight operations, meaning you coordinate with warehouse staff for loading and unloading rather than handling freight yourself. This reduces physical strain and allows you to focus on driving and vehicle maintenance. You are expected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate logbooks, and report any mechanical issues immediately. Professional communication with dispatch, customers, and other team members is essential to daily success.
Additionally, you will maintain your vehicle in excellent condition, follow company maintenance schedules, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism and courtesy. Safe driving practices and on-time delivery performance directly impact your earning potential through our bonus structure.
Must-Have Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 3 months of commercial driving experience (recent experience preferred)
• Ability to pass comprehensive background check and DOT physical examination
• Valid medical certificate (DOT physical) before start date
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations
• Willingness to operate refrigerated freight exclusively
• Ability to work solo on extended routes with independent decision-making
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations
• Reliable transportation to Lincoln for employment

Preferred qualifications include experience with automatic transmission vehicles, previous refrigerated freight handling, and a demonstrated history of on-time deliveries. While we welcome newer drivers with strong fundamentals, candidates with 1+ year of OTR experience will be prioritized.
