Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses with specialized expertise in Oncology to provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. The role involves delivering chemotherapy, managing central lines, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and blood transfusions following established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and intervene as necessary to manage adverse reactions.
• Manage central line and mediport access, including dressing changes and lab draws.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and adhere to hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and hygiene standards, including dress code and body art policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Texas RN license with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• Possess BLS certification and chemotherapy certification preferred.
• Proficient in Meditech, Mediports, PICCs, and central line management.
• Be capable of floating as per hospital policy and maintain a professional appearance.
