Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner - Mundelein - Full-time -Internal Medicine

Department: 01220 AMG Mundelein Route 60 – Internal Medicine State: Full Time Benefits: Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule: Monday through Friday with one late night until 7 and one Saturday from 8‑12 per month. Major Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and determine or alter treatment and management plans appropriate for patients of all ages, acuities, and clinical conditions. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic interventions. Manage conditions based on clinical indication, evidence‑based care, cost effectiveness, and assessment of risks/benefits and alternatives. Provide health promotion, disease prevention, disease‑management counseling, and education of patients and families. Manage patients as part of an interdisciplinary team and within scope of practice. Seek physician or other health‑care team member consultation or referrals, as appropriate. Escalate need for emergent or specialized care when necessary. Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Submit professional services with compliant coding and billing practices. Facilitate consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the health‑care team and with community agencies. Perform office or hospital procedures in accordance with specialty practice, competency, and granted privileges (where applicable). Other Responsibilities Participate in quality, safety, and peer‑review initiatives and performance activities. Attend organizational and departmental meetings and committees, peer‑review, and workgroups as necessary. Participate in education and onboarding of new team members, students, and other health‑care professionals. Seek experiences to maintain and develop clinical and professional skills. Maintain standards of productivity, access, face‑to‑face time, and quality metrics to ensure optimal, safe, and timely patient care delivery. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and assess data reflecting a patient’s status to identify age‑specific needs. Minimum Education and Experience License/Registration/Certification: Active RN and APRN/APRN‑FPA/APNP or other APRN license(s) in state(s) of practice. Active national board certification in the area of clinical practice and populations served. Active DEA registration prior to hire. Active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire (if Illinois practice). Active BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire. Master’s Degree in Nursing. No prior experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High level of clinical proficiency and excellent decision‑making skills. Ability to work independently and as an effective member of an interdisciplinary health‑care team. Adaptability to evolving technology and proficiency with the electronic medical record. Excellent communication skills. Ability to collaborate and establish relationships with others. Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday. Functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing. Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. Lift up to 20 lbs over the head. Carry up to 40 lbs over a reasonable distance. Operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
