US Medical Director, Indolent Systemic Mastocytosis (ISM) Location: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ About the job Join our Specialty Care team and help deliver breakthrough treatments for people with rare diseases, including Indolent Systemic Mastocytosis (ISM). As the U.S. Medical Director for ISM, you will provide strategic leadership, serve as the internal medical expert, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes through evidence‑based decisions. You will report to the Head of U.S. Medical Affairs, Rare Blood Disorders, and be responsible for a national scope within the ISM therapeutic area. Main Responsibilities Medical Strategy & Leadership Develop U.S. medical objectives and strategies for ISM, aligned with U.S. commercial goals Provide medical input to brand teams regarding strategy, tactics, and development of claims for ISM therapies Serve as the internal expert for ISM and related products, supporting the field‑based U.S. Medical Affairs team Develop strategies for and implement medical advisory boards focused on ISM Support execution of the strategic U.S. investigator‑sponsored study program in ISM Develop U.S. scientific communication and publication strategies for ISM Partner with the R&D organization to support clinical trials in ISM Field Medical & MSL Direction Provide strategic direction to disease‑specific MSL teams responsible for translating medical strategy into operational tactics for ISM Lead product and disease‑state training of internal colleagues on Indolent Systemic Mastocytosis Payer & Access Support the Managed Markets group, particularly in discussions with payers regarding ISM therapies Review Educational Outreach Grants to ensure alignment with strategic goals in the ISM therapeutic area Compliance & Ethics Ensure ethical and credible promotion; participate on Promotional and Medical Review boards Ensure full compliance with all corporate and industry policies and legal and regulatory requirements for all Medical Affairs activities Scientific Excellence Maintain medical and scientific knowledge through continuing education, including attending symposia and keeping abreast of current literature in ISM and related rare hematologic conditions Stay updated on emerging scientific, technological, and regulatory developments in ISM to inform strategic decision‑making Travel: approximately 20% expected.
