About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP Must-Have: Previous charge experience of at least 2 years Description: The registered nurse will provide care in a labor and delivery setting. The position will float between units as needed. Weekend shifts are required. The expected patient ratios are 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum. Experience with high-risk labor and delivery is essential. Specific skills needed include, but are not limited to, administration of blood products, management of laboring patients, and handling maternal emergencies. The facility handles over 3600 deliveries per year and offers comprehensive care for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and high-risk patients. Support services available include physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more. The registered nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, care management, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should have experience with Epic charting. Floating between nearby facilities may be required. The registered nurse must be available to work three of the five major holidays during the contract duration. References covering one year of experience within the last three years are required. The role requires flexibility and commitment to the contracted schedule. Communication devices will be provided as necessary for job duties. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as part of their contract.
