Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with prior travel experience for a day shift circulating role covering general, ortho, OB, ENT, and podiatry cases.

Job Details

• Operating Room department in a hospital setting,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM,
• Circulates for general surgery, orthopedics, OB, ENT, and podiatry cases,
• Includes pain management rotation and weekend call responsibilities,

Job Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration,
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS,
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required,
• PACU/recovery experience required,
• Prior travel experience required,
• EPIC charting experience preferred,
• Skilled in a wide range of surgical procedures including gynecologic, podiatric, general, orthopedic, and ENT surgeries,
• Experience with equipment and protocols such as cell saver, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol time-out procedures,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating duties across multiple surgical specialties,
• Not accepting candidates who reside within 50 miles of the facility,
• Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties will not be considered,
• Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler,
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation,
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted,
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
