Pay rate: $15 per hour on W2 Job Description:
- The Coil Preparation Associate supports the final stages of coil building and testing by preparing coils to meet defined quality and performance specifications.
- This role plays an important part in ensuring products are built safely, efficiently, and to required standards within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
- Bend, shape, cut, and solder wires and lugs according to specifications.
- Attach wires using lugs and crimps to ensure proper connections.
- Sand wires as part of the preparation and finishing process.
- Pull lead wires and apply sleeving as required.
- Operate pneumatic and hydraulic crimping tools safely and effectively.
- Use lift assistance devices when handling products weighing more than 50 pounds.
- Participate in physical inventory activities as needed.
- Meet established efficiency, quality, and productivity standards.
- Maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards within the work area.
- Perform additional or modified duties as business needs evolve.
Must have:
- The ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, drawings, shop aids, and work instructions.
- The ability to solder and perform detailed hand-assembly work.
- The ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions.
- The ability to manually handle up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with lift or push/pull assistance.
- The ability to work in small or narrow spaces and perform occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.
