Payroll Accountant | Hybrid | PE-Backed Global Consulting Firm in Boston Our client, a highly respected PE-backed global consulting firm, is looking to add a Payroll Accountant to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional or accounting professional with payroll experience who is looking to take on a highly visible role supporting both U.S. and international payroll operations. The position offers exposure to process improvement initiatives, internal controls, audit readiness, and global payroll expansion efforts. Responsibilities Process and support multi-state U.S. payroll operations Prepare payroll and benefits-related journal entries Manage payroll accruals, including PTO, bonuses, profit sharing, and other compensation liabilities Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet and expense accounts Support quarter-end and year-end payroll tax reconciliations Assist with W-2 preparation and year-end reporting activities Partner closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance Maintain data integrity across payroll, HRIS, and accounting systems Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 2+ years of payroll accounting or payroll administration experience Advanced Excel skills Experience with ADP Workforce Now, NetSuite, Rippling, or similar payroll/ERP/HRIS platforms Strong understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and payroll tax compliance CPP certification is a plus $70K - $90K base salary, dependent on experience.
