Accountant

Manufacturing Accountant Executing and improving cost accounting functions, including establishing standard cost, understanding direct labor and inventory and analyzing cost of goods sold. Completing reporting for month and year-end, including journal entries, cost of goods sold and actual variances. Developing standard costs for new products. Working with the management team on pricing for customers, change in cost and price increases. Reviewing variances and completing journal entries related to cost. Analyzing financial statements and completing accounting reporting. Improving the reporting function of the company's ERP system in order to attain data in a timely and efficient manner. Completing analysis of month and year end, budget versus actual and profitability. Assisting with other accounting functions. Other cost accounting functions as assigned by management. Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment and taking ownership of accounting projects. Individuals should be strong with analysis, be detail oriented and flexible with their work responsibilities. Requirements for the Manufacturing Accountant Minimum of an Associates degree (a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred) with at least two years of similar manufacturing accounting experience Experience working as a manufacturing accountant generalist Experience with financial analysis Experience with accounting reporting Have the desire to learn and focus on cost accounting functions Microsoft Excel Skills preferred but NOT required ERP experience Experience working for privately-held companies Google Docs experience Experience establishing standard cost #J-18808-Ljbffr MRINetwork
