Senior CNC Machinist - 3 to 5-Axis Milling (Aerospace) | $33.37-$56.73/hr

Job Type: Full-Time (Direct Hire Only)

Pay Range: $33.37 – $56.73 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: Day Shift (schedule to be confirmed)

Overtime: This role exists to support advanced machining and complex part production at Ichor Systems' Scotts Valley (Larkin) facility, with a focus on aerospace and high-spec manufacturing.

In this position, you'll play a key role in setting up and machining complex, tight-tolerance components while helping drive process improvements and mentoring less experienced machinists.

Set up and optimize new and repeat jobs on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines

Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements

Monitor production to ensure quality and consistency

Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and internal quality standards

Mentor junior machinists and support team development

Machines, Controls & Software

You'll work with equipment such as:

Machines: 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling centers

Programming: G-code editing at the machine (CAM exposure a plus)

Inspection Tools: Micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, calipers

Materials You'll Work With

Aerospace-grade aluminum

10+ years of CNC machining experience

~ Experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace components

~ Experience mentoring or leading machinists

CAM programming exposure (Mastercam or similar)

Experience with high-mix, low-volume aerospace work
