We are seeking a strategic and inspiring Vice President, Therapeutic Strategy Leader (Oncology/Hematology) to drive global medical and scientific leadership within one of our most critical therapeutic areas.What You'll DoAs a member of the leadership team, you will shape and execute global oncology/hematology strategy, influencing both scientific direction and business growth. You will partner across functions and with clients to deliver high-impact solutions and advance complex drug development programs. Key Responsibilities:Lead global therapeutic strategy for Oncology/Hematology aligned with Fortrea's vision and commercial objectivesContribute to enterprise-wide strategy, business planning, and development of medical, safety, and therapeutic policiesServe as Executive Sponsor for process excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across Medical & Scientific functionsOversee MedSci project portfolio delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and governance standardsDrive business development to support growth across therapeutic areas and servicesBuild and maintain senior-level relationships with clients, investigators, key opinion leaders, and strategic partnersIdentify and execute opportunities for integrated development across business units (e.G., biomarkers, biosimilars, advanced therapies, health economics)Represent Fortrea externally through publications, industry presentations, and participation in scientific forumsPartner with Business Development and Marketing to shape technical strategy, differentiate capabilities, and identify new opportunitiesLead development and expansion of KOL, investigator, and consultant networksContribute to proposals, bid defenses, and client strategy; ensure high-quality medical/scientific input across opportunitiesProvide clinical and scientific leadership in due diligence and in-licensing/acquisition activitiesTranslate enterprise strategy into clear vision and direction for therapeutic area teamsAll other duties as needed or assignedLeadership & Team DevelopmentBuild, lead, and mentor high-performing global medical teamsDrive talent strategy, including hiring, development, and succession planningFoster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and scientific excellenceOversee performance management, resource allocation, and team effectivenessClinical & Scientific LeadershipProvide medical and scientific expertise across clinical development programsSupport protocol design, safety monitoring, and study execution as needed (up to ~20% project involvement)Ensure robust delivery of medical/scientific contributions across projectsGuide training initiatives and knowledge development within Oncology/HematologyWhat We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications:MD (or equivalent) with residency training and clinical specialization in Oncology/HematologyExtensive experience in global drug development (typically 15+ years across pharma, biotech, or CRO)Deep expertise in Oncology/Hematology clinical researchProven leadership at a strategic and organizational levelStrong track record in client engagement, business growth, and cross-functional leadership Preferred Qualifications:Specialty fellowship and/or clinical practice experienceExperience leading at a portfolio level across multiple therapeutic areasRecognized industry thought leader with strong external presenceWhy Fortrea?Lead strategy within a high-impact, rapidly evolving therapeutic areaInfluence global drug development and bring innovative therapies to patientsCollaborate with world-class scientific and operational leadersShape the future of clinical research in a dynamic, growth-focused organizationAdditional InformationFlexible remote work environment within the USCollaboration across global teams and time zonesTravel required based on business and client needs (~30%) Pay Range:USD $375,000-$440,000Benefits:All job offers will bebased on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicabledegrees/certifications,as well as internal equity and market data.Regular,full-timeor part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Company bonus where applicable.
