General Maintenance Technician

Job Description Service oriented with general knowledge of building maintenance.This employee must have basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical,plumbing, and mechanical systems. This employee will respond towork orders on a tablet with our work order system. REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience 1–2 years’ experience in building maintenance preferred Education High School diploma or GED required Licenses/Certifications/Credentials Valid driver’s license is required ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This is an essential staff position that may be required toreport to work when the university is closed or during inclementweather when a state-of-emergency has been declared. This positionis part of the on-call rotation and will have to help with snowremoval if needed. This employee will work with all trades toassist with work orders or projects as needed. Will be working onthe general work orders, such as replacing ceiling tiles, lightbulbs, and changing air filters in HVAC units. Follow the guidance and direction of supervisor(s). Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior. Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules. Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employeehandbooks and policies. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance andpunctuality. Other duties, including special projects, as required orassigned.
