You will serve as a key coordinator of care, helping manage clinic flow, patient scheduling, and transitions across inpatient and outpatient settings, including admissions and discharge planning. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams will be essential in ensuring seamless, high-quality care delivery.
A significant component of this role involves supporting patients and families, helping them understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and symptom management while providing guidance on quality of life and, when appropriate, palliative care considerations. You will act as a trusted liaison between patients, families, and the care team, ensuring clear communication and continuity throughout the treatment journey.
You will also contribute to clinical excellence and innovation by integrating evidence-based practices into care delivery and utilizing resources such as institutional tools and national oncology guidelines. Participation in interdisciplinary collaboration and ongoing evaluation of care practices will support continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
Success in this role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage complex cases with empathy and precision. A commitment to teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care is essential, particularly when working with pediatric oncology populations.
