Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is based in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients within a Level 3 NICU environment. The position requires managing a complex patient caseload with critical responsibilities in neonatal assessment, treatment, and family support.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, totaling 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). The candidate must possess at least 2 years of relevant neonatal intensive care experience, with previous experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Units, managing neonatal patients, and performing advanced neonatal procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level 1 nursery care, maternal/baby care, and circulating for cesarean sections.
• Additional Information: This role involves triaging obstetrical patients, utilizing external fetal heart monitoring, and providing advanced neonatal assessments such as Apgar scoring and thermoregulation. The nurse will assist with procedures including epidural anesthesia, postpartum care, neonatal stabilization, and family education.
