Job Summary Of The Breast Reconstruction Specialist The Breast Reconstruction Specialist is responsible for accelerating sales of Axogen products in target programs in the new application surgery space (Breast Reconstruction). They identify, profile, and promote Axogen nerve repair products to surgeons within a targeted regional geography. They serve as a clinical resource, providing education on best practices in the science of nerve repair, and offering additional training. They research referral patterns, provide strategic consulting on patient awareness, and collaborate with marketing to plan events. They work collaboratively with local Axogen sales representatives to achieve corporate goals. Requirements Of The Breast Reconstruction Specialist BS degree required Master’s degree preferred 5 years medical device or medical technologies sales experience required Experience selling to Breast Reconstruction surgeons strongly preferred Proven track record of success with back‑to‑back years of top awards/accolades, top 10-15% nationwide rankings, history of promotion 75% plus travel Reside in the territory Responsibilities Of The Breast Reconstruction Specialist Serve as a clinical resource and expert on nerve repair to surgeons, the sales team, and marketing. Develop product, clinical and technical expertise to represent Axogen and the portfolio of nerve repair products. Demonstrate a strategic selling approach by positioning and communicating a compelling value proposition. Accelerate sales of Axogen nerve repair products to surgeons and accounts in the target region. Plan and execute a strategy for calling on target surgeons. Facilitate stocking and ordering of Axogen products in accounts to ensure regular supply. Provide regular feedback and suggestions on market trends, training needs and product positioning. Focus on converting qualified leads to sustainable sales and manage relationships. Create in‑field strategies to build a network between the Breast Reconstruction Specialist, surgeons and local sales teams. Conduct cold calls and present key benefits of Axogen’s products to targets. Work in partnership with local Axogen sales representatives to meet territory goals. Assess sales target needs through active listening and provide recommendations. Collaborate with new market application’s surgical educational programs to include Axogen’s products in microsurgical training. Collaborate with marketing to plan and execute market development events, travel to events, and lead them. Track and report contacts with customers, needs, interests, and adoption. Engage in strategic conversations with KOLs, practice and hospital administration, and other key influencers beyond transactional selling. Ensure appropriate product use, avoiding unnecessary or unqualified use. Comprehend program and procedure economics. Research referral streams and patient pathways. Organize, attend, and lead patient/community awareness events. Collaborate with patient advocacy groups. Reach established sales and corporate objectives.
