Role Description This is a full-time, travel Field Service Technician role based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The Field Service Technician will perform, adjustment, and repair of Panoramic Doors multi-slide and pivot door systems at customer locations, ensuring proper operation, safety, and appearance. Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, diagnosing mechanical and alignment issues, performing maintenance, and completing warranty and service calls in a timely manner. The role involves communicating with customers, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate appointments, explain findings, and provide guidance on product care and operation. The technician will also document work performed, maintain tools and equipment, follow safety procedures, and support continuous improvement of installation and service practices. Qualifications Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience with door, window, or similar building-product installation and service. Proficiency using hand and power tools, measuring devices, and basic construction methods. Strong problem-solving skills, including diagnosing mechanical, alignment, and performance issues on site. Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with homeowners, builders, and trade partners. Ability to read and interpret installation instructions, technical drawings, and safety guidelines. Comfort working on ladders, in various weather conditions, and lifting/moving door panels and related materials as required. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and adjoining states. Prior field service or construction experience; background in doors, glazing, or exterior building systems is a plus. Reliable time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or with a small crew.
