Overhead Gantry Crane Operator

Location: Arlington TX
Pay Rate: $17-$19 per hour
Schedule: Monday Friday

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM

• Overtime available based on production needs

Position Overview

We are currently seeking dependable and safety-focused Overhead Gantry Crane Operators to join a growing industrial manufacturing team in Arlington, Texas. This position is responsible for safely operating overhead gantry cranes to move heavy steel, materials, and equipment throughout the facility while supporting production and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous overhead crane operating experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment and be comfortable working around heavy equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate overhead gantry cranes to safely lift, move, stage, and position heavy materials

• Transport steel, metal products, and large industrial components throughout the facility

• Inspect cranes, lifting devices, chains, hooks, and rigging equipment before use

• Follow load capacity limits and all crane safety procedures at all times

• Communicate clearly with production staff, forklift operators, and supervisors during material movement

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks or production lines as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe operations

• Follow company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and standard operating procedures

• Support manufacturing and warehouse teams with general material handling duties

• Report equipment malfunctions, damaged materials, or safety concerns immediately

• Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating an overhead gantry crane required

• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, steel, or heavy equipment environment

• Ability to safely handle large and heavy materials

• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English for safety and communication purposes

• Valid work authorization required to work in the United States

• Ability to follow written instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures

• Comfortable working in a physically demanding industrial setting

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required

• Ability to work overtime when needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts

• Ability to lift, push, or pull materials when necessary

• Comfortable working around heavy machinery and moving equipment

• Ability to work in varying warehouse or manufacturing temperatures

• Must be able to wear required PPE including steel toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
