We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Associate Attorney to join our team and make a direct impact on the community we serve. Position Overview The ideal candidate will manage a varied caseload independently and in collaboration with the firm owner, meet directly with clients, draft legal documents, and represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings. Key Responsibilities: Counsel clients with clarity, patience, and empathy across Family Law, Consumer Bankruptcy (Chapter 7/13), Estate Planning, and Probate. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, estate plans, and bankruptcy filings. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and client conferences across east-central Nebraska. Manage client relationships directly, translating complex legal concepts into clear action plans. Collaborate with the firm owner while developing the autonomy to manage cases independently. Qualifications & Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Nebraska (or pending bar admission), or eligible for admission. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-first mindset. High emotional intelligence and an ability to remain calm and supportive during high-stress client situations. Comfort working in a rural, small-town legal environment where personal connections matter. Salary Range: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00 / year (commensurate with experience).
