Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial. Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years of warehouse, distribution, or material handling experience. Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift required. Experience operating cherry pickers, pallet jacks, or other powered industrial equipment preferred. Job Duties Operate sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment safely. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials throughout the warehouse. Receive inbound shipments and store inventory in designated locations. Pick, pull, and prepare orders for shipment. Load trailers, containers, and rail cars accurately and efficiently. Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance concerns. Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage-free condition. Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and inventory control processes. Follow safety procedures, OSHA standards, and customer requirements at all times. Coordinate with transportation, customer service, and maintenance teams as needed. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred. Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial. Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift. Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required. Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments. Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
