Job DescriptionJob Description & responsibilities:Lead and execute global sourcing and commodity strategies for semiconductors that support key business objectives, including time to market, cost reduction, lead-time improvement, supply continuity, and successful product ramp-up and ramp-down.Communicate commodity strategies across the organization, the Business Units and NPI Operations to ensure sourcing decisions and product development aligns with strategic supplier selectionsFormulate negotiation strategy to proactively drive cost reduction with suppliers in a complex, high / low volume environment to meet strategic, operational and financial performance targetsUnderstand semiconductor architectures and their interaction with embedded software, firmware, SDKs, development tools, licensing, and software ecosystemswhen evaluating suppliers and technologies.Maintain total ownership of assigned semiconductor commodities, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial performance, risk management, and supplier relationship management.Support the negotiations of complex agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectivesResponsible for total supplier performance: measure and manage vs. key targets, compliance to agreements and implementing improvement roadmaps to address gapsLead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Executive Business Reviews (EBRs) with suppliers & be able to effectively communicate with executive teams. Transform multiple and complex streams of information into simple, clear and concise terms to be presented to stakeholdersPartner with Product cost engineering to develop and maintain predictive cost models incorporating component cost drivers, risk profiles, lifecycle considerations, and End-of-Life.Develop Total Cost of Ownership calculations.Establish strong partnerships with the Contract Manufacturing procurement teams & lead oversight of product supply chain from an escalation stand point including capacity analysis, safety stock, flexibility & distribution network.Assess supply risks and establish mitigation strategies, including alternative sources, capacity planning, safety stock, and business continuity plans.Lead semiconductor market intelligence, including technology trends, capacity, lead times, lifecycle/EOL, pricing, tariffs, and geopolitical or supply risks.Domestic and international travel up to 15%Qualifications:4-7 years of experience in semiconductor sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, or a related high-technology environment.Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry, embedded systems, and hardware/software technology ecosystems.Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost management, and supply-risk mitigation.Ability to understand technical specifications, BOMs, semiconductor roadmaps, and product requirements.Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment with a high degree of integrity and accountability.At Bose, you're inspired to be and do your best and are rewarded for your unique talents! The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $107,400-$147,750.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
