Histology Supervisor

Labcorp seeks a Histology Supervisor for its Boston laboratory at Tufts Medical Center. The role involves overseeing daily histology operations, supervising staff, ensuring quality test performance, and maintaining regulatory compliance in a high-volume clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations and staff of the Histology department
Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and timely reported
Train, mentor, and provide coaching feedback to laboratory personnel
Monitor workflow, schedule coverage, and maintain proper staffing levels
Research and resolve production errors while maintaining Quality Assurance documentation

Requirements

Associate's degree in Chemical/Biological Science, Histology, or Clinical Laboratory Science
3+ years experience as Histotechnologist or Histotechnician
Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and relevant state regulations
Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
Experience in high-volume clinical laboratory environment
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Histology and/or ASCP certifications (preferred)

Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 annually
