Your Impact Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell tower sites. The role is fast-paced, rewarding, and ideal for individuals who are responsible, self-directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and eager to learn and grow in the telecom industry. This is a regional position. Candidates should reside in the Chicago, Illinois area. Core Responsibilities Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or install and replace components of entire systems. Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment. Perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season HVAC equipment. Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services. Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports. Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements. Core Experience Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required) . 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred). Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems, is preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email. At Pearce, safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA Standards. Additional Requirements Must reside in the Chicago, Illinois area. Must be available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion. Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure. Overnights required; company pays all travel costs and provides per diem. Drive to remote work sites as needed. Will be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors. Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds. Required to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical. Compensation $30.00–$38.00 hourly (DOE) At Pearce, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices.
