Claims Examiner - General LiabilityHybrid Schedule from multiple US Office Locations (2 days in office/ week only) $100,000 - $110,000 base + 10% bonus + benefits A leading insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to join their General Liability team. This is a technical role handling mid to complex Commercial General Liability claims across a diverse portfolio. You will manage claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management. Key Responsibilities Handle complex CGL claims including premises liability, slip & falls and other bodily injury cases Handle coverage matters including writing own coverage letters and coverage decisions Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders Ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry best practices Qualifications 3+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience (premise/product/slip & falls etc.). Experience with other liability claims such as construction BI, NYLL and/or builders risk claims beneficial Strong exposure to coverage investigation and litigated files Background with a reputable carrier or law firm Bachelor's degree required; industry designations (AIC, CPCU, etc.) are a plus What's on Offer Competitive base salary ($100,000 - $110,000) + 10% annual bonus Flexible working policy - 2 days in office 3 days remote per week Strong benefits package including PTO, 401K plan and medical insurance Clear progression path within a growing claims organization #J-18808-Ljbffr Oliver James Associates Ltd.
